General Information about JAWA motorcycle Museum of Konopiště and motorcycle-technical museum of  Netvořice

At present it is possible to see altogether about 200 motorcycles and other exhibits in both the Museums. The Museum of Konopiště is also the official factory museum of the JAWA brand. Some of the exhibits in both the museums are absolutely unique, and can be seen at these expositions only!!

A visitor coming to either of the Museums acquires automatically the right to a 50% discount from the entrance fee to be paid in the other Museum.

The Museum of Netvořice is focused, besides the motorcycles (about 120 motorbikes), also on cars, tricycles, wheelchairs, side-car motorcycles, special stable engines, current production of the JAWA brand, historical tractors and matters of interest of the history of technologies).

The Motorcycle Museum of Netvořice is open:

November till April: closed 
May, June, September, October: open only Saturday and Sunday 10.00 - 18.00 
July, August: open Tuesday till Sunday 10.00 - 18.00

The Museum of Konopiště is mainly focused on a representative presentation of the JAWA brand, both from the viewpoint of exhibits and in terms of historical materials (English, Czech and German video presentations through a large-area projection). Another key topic of the Museum is formed by the historical documentation of successful racing results of Czech motorcycle brands in the 20^th century (unique exhibits, trophies, historical documents).

The Motorcycle Museum of Konopiště is open the whole year:

Main season July till September: 9.00 - 18.00 guided tour from main entrance

Rest of the year: 10.00 - 18.00 entrance from the reception of Pension Konopiště

In both of the Museums it is strictly forbidden to take pictures, for safety and other reasons. In exceptional cases the photographing and video recording can only be permitted by the Directors of the companies “Eltsen s.r.o.” or “JAWA Moto spol. s r.o..”!!!!

Other matters of interest in the surroundings: Municipal Museum of Benešov, Jemniště Chateau, Vrchotovy Janovice Chateau, Český Štemberk Castle . In the meantime you can have a swim in the Vltava River waves on the Slapy Dam (Nová Živohošť, Rabyně or Měřín) or you can jump directly into the Sázava river.
